The influence of the philosophy of the war and the point of view of some of its most outstanding representatives through the ages like the samurais is undeniable in the modern culture. Code of honor, defend what is right, self-sacrifice are just some of the values that has been spread out along the world. Broadcasted through the television and more recently via Internet, their teaches remain alive and continue inspiring the new generations to do the right thing and fight for their believes.

Es probable que si todos tuviésemos y siguiésemos nuestro propio código de honor, el mundo caminaría de forma diferente. Muchas de las atrocidades que hoy pasan son simplemente por falta de ese espíritu de lucha por nuestros valores y creencias, por ese tan importante código de honor que era la razón de ser del Samurai. Es probable que no al extremo de uno de estos guerreros, pero el hombre moderno debería impregnarse de algunos de los valores de su cultura, eran justos y humildes, con desapego a las cosas materiales, con un amplio sentido de la moralidad y la lealtad y un buen control de las emociones. Creo firmemente que si los actuales habitantes de este planeta interiorizáramos algo de su sabia filosofía, hoy el mundo no estaría envuelto en tantas guerras y actos estúpidos por parte de muchos, que sólo causan daño y dolor a sus semejantes. Irónicamente de estos grandes guerreros podríamos aprender a no hacer guerras innecesarias.
